Jane Egbe, fondly called GINGER by her friends and piers is a dancer and dance professional of many years. Her experience and love for dance goes back to her Nigerian roots where she began by exploring the Brazilian martial arts called Capoeira for many years; she soon discovered her passion for dance and movement and began her foray into Latin; both social and professional.

 

She acquired her Bachelors degree in Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and got called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010. Her need for self-growth brought her to Russia, where she simultaneously bagged her Master’s degree in World Economics from the Volgograd State Technical University, Volgograd, Russia as well as honed her skills in professional Latin and Ballroom, dance teaching and instruction. She has taught in various professional dance schools located in Nigeria, Russia, UAE (Abu-Dhabi) with specialty in Salsa On1 and On2 styles, Bachata (Moderna and Dominican styles), Kizomba Afro-Latin dance, Afro-house/Kuduro, African Contemporary Dance and classical Latin and Ballroom; competing and performing in solo, couple and Team acts. She additionally has several years experience in the Brazilian Dance/Martial Art form, Capoeira.

 

She is a Zumba licensed Instructor and has won several accolades not least of which being the First Place, Winner Gold and Gold Star categories -Pro-Am Latin and Ballroom Championship, Crown Cup, Dubai, 2017

 

She is Founder of the Kizomba Afro-Latin Dance Meetup Group, Abu Dhabi, UAE and continues to share her love for Dance and Movement here in the UAE, fostering a message of peace, love and togetherness without barriers.
